Bringing her mixed berry, fresh Gen Z approach to the studio as a digital media specialist, Amy draws her inspiration and creativity from all around. Driven by sincere creative ambition and a love for crocheting, Amy uses her skills and experience to help her take her designs across digital media to new heights!
1. What do you do at Coast?
As a web developer I collaborate to develop creative solutions for new and existing web projects.
2. What is your favourite thing about working at Coast?
The people and projects. The team at Coast are so kind and inspiring. Their creative visions let me challenge myself to think outside of the box.
3. How are you creative or innovative in your role at Coast?
I like to draw from real-life inspiration, especially people and things in nature that feed my passion for design. I explore what’s been done before, identify flaws and think creatively to take projects to the next level.
4. Describe the vibe at Coast and why you chose to work there
Coast is creative and welcoming, from the fun contemporary office space and chill music to the down-to-earth team. The vibe is unmatched.
5. What unique flavour you bring to the team?
Mixed berry for sure. I bring a fresh Gen Z perspective on design and communication. I’m a bit of an allrounder with experience in many areas of digital media.
6. If you were a famous character, who would you be and why?
I would say a cross between Hermione Granger and Rachel Green. I love to learn and read and am quite competitive. I’m also very creative and empathetic but can be pretty ditzy.
7. What is your fav piece of clothing?
I love anything that has a lot of effort or meaning attached. Something I crocheted myself, something gifted by a friend, a t-shirt designed by a small business or independent creator.
8. What is your vice when faced with a challenge?
I take a moment to slow down and check my breathing, preparing to face the challenge head-on with no distracting thoughts.
9. What would your proud Parents say about you?
They would say I’m very driven and have huge dreams. I was the first in my family to go to uni, so now they think I can do anything.
