Uptown Local is an independent designer clothing store offering curated collections of men’s and women’s fashion & accessories. Uptown’s ethos is think global, act local. Slow fashion is the vibe and Uptown Local are the editors.
They are a local brand offering an enticing array of collections from innovative designers across the world, including some of the best Australian designers. Uptown Local’s bricks and mortar store, which is more like a trendy urban New York loft is situated in the heart of the Coffs CBD. The brand also operates an e-commerce website, offering a seamless shopping experience.
Having built Uptown Local’s original website 3 years ago, Coast was engaged to refresh the site following a brand update.
Coast were super pumped to be engaged by the lovely Micah and Ange at Uptown to reimagine Uptown’s online presence to align it with an updated in-store experience. It was very important that the refresh was more than just about driving sales growth, it was also a chance to bring one of our fav brands to life through an engaging, personalised, and seamless user experience.
Luckily for our friends at Uptown, Coast are certified Shopify Partners which means our wealth of experience in designing eCommerce websites offers our clients with a seamless shopping experience that generates sales growth and brand loyalty.
An optimised site structure and global design update were recommended. This included a brand new homepage and additional functionality within the online store to optimise the user experience.
Uptown Local’s website was designed as a visual warehouse of quality collections from the best known and emerging designer talent. The local-feel is apparent with personalised messages from the owners at the forefront of each page.

– Updated site navigation, additional CMS functionality to simplify future menu updates for Uptown.

– Notify me functionality enabling users to sign up for stock notifications if an item is sold out.
