Logo + Brand Development
The logo and brand development was designed to embody a fun, friendly, locally-minded, and informal vibe while maintaining a professional touch. As a hub for problem-solving and connecting trades with the right customers, the emphasis was on conveying a ‘can-do attitude’ as the forefront of the business. This concept is reinforced by the universally recognisable ‘a-okay’ hand gesture, symbolising a satisfactory and friendly nature — Your Mates.
Brand Direction + Identity Strategy
Coast Brand Specialist, Emily Tierney, and Creative Director, Jena Hackett, brought the identity to life through a series of collaborative meetings and behind-the-scenes efforts. They crafted a distinctive brand mark and tagline, designed with various variants to ensure adaptability across a range of outputs, including digital platforms, web, social media, apparel, and merchandise.

The final, crucial piece: a bespoke directory website designed to be the central hub for ‘Your Mates’. This platform not only showcases locally approved tradespeople but also features a dedicated job notice board exclusively for members. Built with a user-friendly, custom backend, Your Mates can now moderate and manage internally.
