Destination Tourism Website and Community Resource for Bellingen, NSW

The Bellingen Chamber of Commerce identified a need for the town of Bellingen to have their own destination website to promote tourism in the area and showcase local businesses and community events.

The collective spirit of Bellingen – in the embrace of nature, the residents of Bellingen share a profound appreciation for the environment and this ethos is palpable in community gardens, eco-initiatives, and a commitment to local, organic produce. Bellingen’s community spirit shines brightly. Festivals and gatherings pulse with infectious energy, welcoming visitors with open arms. This spirit also extends to support networks that rally around those in need, reinforcing the sense of belonging that defines this town.

Customised Website Design and Development

To get started Coast Creative Director, Jena Hackett met with Chamber President, Libby Park and Vice President, Paul Harper to understand the needs of the community and desires for the new website.

From there Jena and the team at Coast were able to provide our recommendations on how to achieve what they needed, to fit the allocated budget. Starting with the sitemap, user journey and user experience we created their newest marketing tool!

The website features a custom built module showing local businesses and providing website visitors with information on where to Shop, Eat, Play and Stay! We have also created a custom membership directory for Chamber of Commerce members to be showcased as well as an Event module, in which these members can also add and edit event listings.

Creative Partnership and Business Development

Jena Hackett and Coast lead Developer John Basham then had the pleasure of speaking at the December Chamber of Commerce event to unveil the new website to the local community, and demonstrate how they can use the custom modules and benefit from their new community resource.

We are pleased to continue our work with the Bellingen Chamber of Commerce and support them as their creative partner. We hope to carry on our work together by bringing a series of workshops to the Bellingen community in 2024. Watch this space!
